Watling Meadows Primary School hosts a Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) for pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) whose primary area of need is Communication and Interaction.
The SRP provides:
- A personalised and adapted curriculum
- Specialist communication support
- Autism-informed practice
- Structured and predictable routines
- Opportunities for inclusion in mainstream lessons and activities
- Support for emotional regulation and independence
Pupils access learning within both the specialist provision and the wider school community according to their individual needs and EHCP outcomes.

Parents and carers are encouraged to speak to their child's class teacher in the first instance if they have any concerns about progress, learning or development.
- How Does the School Identify SEND?
We use a graduated approach to identifying and supporting SEND.
Concerns may be raised by:
