Remote Education
Remote Learning
At Watling Meadows Primary School, we are committed to ensuring that learning can continue in the event of exceptional circumstances that prevent children from attending school, such as severe weather, public health guidance, or other unforeseen disruptions.
Where appropriate, learning activities and resources will be provided through our online learning platforms and recommended educational websites. Teachers may also provide work, activities and guidance to support pupils in continuing their learning at home.
We recognise that access to technology varies from family to family. If you are unable to access online learning, please contact the school office and we will arrange for paper-based learning packs to be provided wherever possible.
We appreciate the support of parents and carers in helping children to engage with their learning and maintain positive routines at home.

Supporting Learning at Home
Parents and carers can support their child by:
- Encouraging a regular daily routine.
- Providing a quiet space for learning where possible.
- Reading with their child every day.
- Monitoring engagement with assigned learning activities.
- Contacting the school if support is needed.
If your family cannot access online learning, or if you require additional support, please contact the school office. We will work with you to ensure your child can continue learning through alternative resources, including paper-based learning packs.
This statement should be read alongside the school's Online Safety policies which reviewed annually.
