PSHE
Intent
Our PSHE curriculum supports pupils’ personal development, health, wellbeing and relationships. It is explicitly inclusive, ensuring every child feels safe, valued and represented in their learning. Themes such as celebrating difference, healthy lifestyles and community responsibility underpin our ethos of nurture, growth and aspiration.
Implementation
We use a structured progression through themes including identity, relationships, health, safety and aspirations. Lessons incorporate discussion, circle time, stories and scenarios. Teachers adapt materials to ensure accessibility, with emotionally supportive practice embedded throughout.
Impact
Pupils develop emotional literacy, resilience and positive relationships. They understand how to keep themselves safe, make responsible choices and contribute to their communities. By Year 6, they demonstrate maturity, empathy and readiness for the challenges of adolescence.
