RE
Intent
RE at Watling Meadows fosters respect, empathy and understanding of diverse beliefs and worldviews. Our inclusive approach ensures every pupil feels represented and valued, supporting identity, belonging and critical thinking.
Implementation
Lessons follow a structured progression that explores major world religions, Humanism and key theological and philosophical questions. Stories, artefacts, discussion and reflection support inclusive learning. Teachers model respectful dialogue, enabling pupils to explore similarities, differences and big ideas sensitively.
Impact
Pupils develop understanding of belief systems, reflect on values and engage respectfully with others. They leave with increased cultural awareness, empathy and the ability to think critically about ethical and spiritual questions.
