Computing (Purple Mash)
Intent
Our computing curriculum equips pupils with the digital skills, creativity and critical understanding needed for an increasingly technological world. Inclusion and online safety underpin all learning experiences. We ensure pupils develop confidence regardless of prior digital access or experience.
Implementation
Learning is structured across digital literacy, information technology and computer science. Pupils gain experience in coding, data handling, multimedia and responsible online behaviour. Teachers scaffold complex concepts using unplugged activities, visual coding blocks and step‑by‑step modelling to make computing accessible for all learners.
Impact
Pupils become confident, safe and creative technology users. They can apply digital skills across the curriculum, evaluate information critically and understand the ethical responsibilities of online participation.
