At Watling Meadows Primary School, we’re passionate about enriching our children’s learning through exciting experiences beyond the classroom.
Visits and Visitors
We will be regularly welcoming inspiring visitors—such as authors, curriculum linked visitors (eg. Living Eggs, ZooLab), musicians, theatre companies and community helpers—to organising engaging local trips that spark curiosity and connect learning to the real world, our pupils will be given every opportunity to explore and grow.

Clubs and Activities
We will be offering a diverse and exciting range of after-school clubs at Watling Meadows, giving children the chance to explore new interests, develop skills, and enjoy time with friends beyond the school day. Clubs will be tailored to children's interests and may include thing such as:
- Creative Clubs: Art & Craft and Lego Builders
- Sports Clubs: Football, Dance and Multi-Sports
- Musical Clubs: Choir
- IT Clubs: Coding for Kids
- Eco Club: Nature detectives and Eco Warriors
Our clubs will be open to all year groups, with age-appropriate sessions initially for Reception children to ensure they feel confident and included. We will regularly update our club offer to reflect pupil interests and seasonal themes.
Residentials
We will be providing residential experiences for our pupils during their primary education. These will involve staff taking the children away overnight, and will provide:
Personal growth and independence
Social skills and teamwork
Exciting and memorable learning experiences linked to curriculum topics
Developing confidence
