Watling Meadows Primary School Wraparound

At Watling Meadows Primary School, we are committed to supporting our families by offering a warm, flexible and high‑quality wraparound care provision from the moment our first Reception cohort joins us in September 2026. This provision is designed to meet the needs of busy families, providing a safe, nurturing and consistent environment before and after the school day.

A Flexible, Family‑Focused Offer

Our wraparound care will run before and after school, with flexible session options, including morning only, afternoon only, or both. Parents will also be able to choose sessions with or without food, and collection times after school will be staggered to support differing work patterns. Pricing will be competitive with other local schools, helping ensure families receive excellent value and convenience. We will also be registered with the Working Tax Credits Scheme to ensure all families are able to access this facility.

Consistency of Staff and Care

A key strength of our approach is that wraparound care will be school‑run, meaning we are planning for it to be delivered by the same trusted and familiar adults who work with our children during the school day. This continuity offers reassurance to parents and a strong sense of security for our youngest pupils as they settle into school routines.

A Purpose‑Built, Enriching Environment

Once the permanent school building is complete, the provision will move to our Activity Studio, located beside the Food Technology Base so children can enjoy cookery, snacks and creative activities. Children will also benefit from access to our MUGA, Forest School, and Hall for outdoor learning, games and sports—creating a vibrant after‑school experience.
