Key Curriculum Principles

We are privileged to be able to make a difference to the lives of our children and the choices they make about their future. 

All children at our primary school will receive a broad and balanced curriculum offer, alongside high quality of teaching and learning and delivery. 

It will be underpinned by key principles that will permeate through all aspects of our curriculum.  These will include:

• Foundation of basic skills, including phonics and reading, oracy and mathematics
• High aspirations, exposing children to a variety of curriculum content and opportunities, which in turn will raise aspirations in our school
• Ensuring equity for all children, making sure we provide the experiences (cultural capital) and support needed for all to thrive and achieve their full potential
• Focus on our locality, adapting curriculum plans to our local area and context
