Reading & Phonics
Reading is at the heart of our curriculum.
We use the DfE-approved Bug Club phonics scheme to ensure:
- Clear, structured progression in early reading
- Consistency between home and school
- Rapid development of phonics knowledge and fluency
We aim for every child to:
- Become a confident, fluent reader
- Develop a love of books and storytelling
- Use reading to access the full curriculum
